Falcons on a 12 game winning streak making strong push toward the playoffs

There have been blowouts, nail biters, overtimes, and penalty strokes. But no matter the course of game the Bentley Field Hockey team has not been beat by anybody since September 13th. That’s right, a 12 game winning streak that has spanned over a five week stretch.

Falcons lose homecoming game to Merrimack 27-11

The Falcons entered their homecoming matchup against Merrimack with a 2-2 conference record and a 3-4 record overall. Merrimack entered the game with an identical 2-2 conference record, and both teams were coming off a loss, the Falcons a 47-14 loss at the hands of Southern Connecticut, and Merrimack a 48-42 loss at the hands of St.

When a name becomes obsolete it becomes fashionable to embrace those names of the past. Those of you from Connecticut may still hold true to the Hartford Whalers or those from Massachusetts may still embrace the idea of the Boston Patriots. With the recent adaptation of Bentley University comes a great hoard of vintage Bentley College paraphernalia.

Theft
A little after noon last Wednesday, a student reported his Bentley ID missing. After receiving a replacement he discovered that the lost ID had been used to purchase items on his discretionary account. An investigation did not lead to the identification of the user.

Successful Homecoming focuses on community

With nothing but sunshine overhead, the Bentley University Homecoming weekend went off with great approval and a new approach.
“We wanted a little more substance to the festivities this year,” said Jessica Kenerson, Program Coordinator for Student Activities, “we wanted to emphasize something other than just free giveaways and wanted to include everyone in the festivities, alumni, faculty, students and kids, everyone.

Students lean towards Obama, worry most about the economy

An unofficial Vanguard poll found that Bentley students are leaning toward supporting Sen. Barack Obama for president and that the economy is the most important issues on their minds.
The unofficial poll of 250 students was carried out in select classrooms, Seasons Dining Hall, the library, LaCava lower cafeteria and Smith Technology Center, and surveyed their choice for president and issues that are affecting that decision.

Kappa Sigma’s “interest group” shows more than just interest

Bentley’s aspiring fraternity and ‘interest group,’ Kappa Sigma, has been involved in a number of community service projects on and around campus in recent weeks. The group has teamed up with Waltham’s Department of Public Works and the Waltham Police Department in order to lend a helping hand to the community and fulfill its service requirements.
