Kuncaitis, Lorenz help Merrimack hand Bentley it’s first conference loss, 3-0

Senior Ale Kuncaitis hit .351 with a match-high 15 kills, and sophomore Elyse Lorenz recorded 42 assists and three aces, as Merrimack College swept past preseason conference favorite Bentley University, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Tuesday night.

St. Martin’s goal with three seconds left lifts Stonehill over Bentley

Stonehill’s sophomore forward Kristie St. Martin scored the game-winning goal with just three seconds remaining to break a 1-1 tie and give the Skyhawks a stunning 2-1 win over Bentley University in a Northeast-10 game on Tuesday afternoon. St. Martin previously scored the equalizer with just 1:42 left on the clock.

Abbie DeMusis has been as reliable as it gets when scoring game winners for the Bentley Field Hockey team. She has tallied a conference high 5 game winning goals this season. When discussing her success she expresses it as a team effort and she just happened to be there to put the ball in the net.

Falcons score 22 straight against Assumption as they win their second straight

In the end the scoreboard read 22-19, which seemed like just another nail biting NE-10 win for the Falcons, but in reality this game was much more than that. This game showed the heart and determination of the 2008 Falcon football team.
The game could not have started any worse for the Falcons as during Assumption’s first play from scrimmage they pulled out all the stops to score an early touchdown.

At Bentley, you can basically feed yourself every night with free pizza and free food offered by clubs and organizations. You could probably make a whole wardrobe from super fan events and football games. But what happens at the games where you can’t get a Nalgene bottle or a free hoodie? The attention of Bentley students is easily swayed by the offering of free stuff.

Police Log

Marijuana
Officers were dispatched to Fenway on Sunday at 11:30p.m. for a report of an odor of marijuana in the hallway. Campus Police traced the odor to a room and knocked. The door was answered by a room resident who admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day but informed police he wasn’t smoking at the time.
