Women’s rugby slug their way to a 14-7 win over Wheaton

The Bentley Women’s Rugby team hosted Wheaton last weekend and while it was not pretty it was still a win. The team was coming off a dominating game over Tufts in which the A-side won 34-5 and came into the game looking for another dominating win. Instead they received an effort from a tireless Wheaton Squad that played hard to the last whistle.

Nuisance
Last Sunday at 8:31 AM a student called Campus Police to report that his roommate had left for the weekend but left his alarm clock on. The student reported the clock had been going off for 45 minutes. The on-duty R.A. was notified.
Medical
On Tuesday around 1:40 PM officers reported to the Graduate Center in Adamian for a report of an injured party.

Boston has a new BU

Thursday October 2nd 2008 is the last day that Bentley will ever carry the name of “college”. In a press release today, the school explained that the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education approved the change to the name Bentley University. The change became effective on Thursday.

With the countless bingo events at Bentley, there is no doubt most have had the chance at some pretty great prizes- gift cards, money, even a freshman parking pass- but it’s rare that we have the chance to play for a new club banner or event volunteers. This past Thursday, at CLUB Bingo, the Vanguard offered unique prizes that ranged from a box of business cards to a blackboard website.

Walking down the street from the T stop, attendees were greeted by a party bus; inside, a rush of free stuff and advertisers wishing to make a sale awaited them. The narrow aisles were packed with students itching to get their hands on anything companies would give them for free.

Falcons end skid with 17-14 win over Stonehill

The Falcons can finally put their three game losing streak behind them as they are able to notch their first NE-10 win of the season defeating rival Stonehill 17-14. The win was key for the Falcons in the standings, and also to be able to end their losing streak.

When it comes down to what you pay for at Bentley everything it seems is itemized clearly and for the most part a tangible good is given in return. Room and board gives you a warm place to sleep and a meal every day. The technology fee gives you a new laptop and the student activity fee gives you great campus events like Spring Day and other fun events.

Campus Police considers moving to more fuel efficient vehicles

While a quick search of Bentley will show that our colors are blue and gold, our steps to regulate consumption and lower our carbon emissions have this campus going green.
Limiting printing, the new sustainability task forces, “Green Week”, an increased number of recycling bins and the “Bentley Green Society” becoming an official club have all been new features to our Waltham campus.
