Defending Northeast-10 champs too much for Bentley Women

The Saint Rose Golden Knights took down the Bentley women’s soccer team Saturday afternoon, rolling to a 6-0 win. The defending Northeast-10 champion Lady Knights controlled the action right from the start. One look at the scoreboard showed the story of the game: Saint Rose 6 goals, 16 shots, Bentley 0 goals, 6 shots.

Lost and Found
At 8:30p.m., a student reported they had misplaced their Bentley-issued laptop. They had left the laptop in a classroom for approximately 20 minutes and upon returning, discovered it was missing. The student later called back to report the laptop had been picked up by a professor and it would be returned.

Green Company finds foundation on campus

It’s been around since ancient Rome, people have taken advantage of its benefits for ages and it’s a proven commodity, but Bentley sophomores Zakary Ewen and Ben Spargo say, “we made it our own”.

Ben and Zak have started ground2ground LLC, a “green” company that strives to increase awareness about responsible recycling.

Health Center considers returning to condom vending machines

Bentley students have to reach into their pockets and pay high prices for a lot of things. Condoms aren’t one of them.
For the last 20 years, the Bentley Health and Wellness Center has offered free condoms to all Bentley students, both in their waiting room and in all examination rooms.

Field Hockey rolls to victory over St. Anslem

The Bentley Falcons rolled over The St Anslem Hawks 2-0 last weekend. The win was the Falcons 3rd in a row and Alyssa Sliney’s 3rd shutout on the season.
Abbie Demusis got the Falcons off to the right start with a goal at 19:10 in the first half. The goal was assisted by Junior Courtney Bartlett and it came off of a penalty corner on the left side.

Falcons drop Northeast-10 opener to American International

The Falcons are at a pivotal point of their season, either they put it together starting this Friday against Stonehill or the season might be lost. The Falcons sit at 1-3 and are 0-1 in conference after their 49-20 loss against American International.
The Falcons ran into a buzz saw last Saturday afternoon as they faced an AIC team that was on an eight game winning streak including a 2-0 start this season and AIC played just like a team that was on fire.

In the last 48 hours, much distress and complaint has come out of last week’s issue of the Vanguard and the editorial cartoon that the e-board decided to publish.

More and more, due to flexible student scheduling and other factors, college drinking has mopved beyond the domain of the weekend, and into the weekdays. Some students have found the lure of Tuesday karaoke and Thursday night drink specials as reason enough to get off campus.

City Year partners with Bentley for service scholarships

Through the school’s new partnership with City Year, Bentley College will be awarding 10 yearly scholarships to Bentley National Service Scholars. City Year is a non-profit organization headquartered in Boston, with site locations situated around the United States, as well as South Africa.
