The Boston Celtics will not win the NBA championship unless the team undergoes various changes. Many people will undoubtedly debate this statement, citing numerous statistics to support their position. People will point to Boston’s impressive record, a league leading 62 – 16.

Possible OUI
Officers were called on Wednesday night for a pair of apparently intoxicated males heading towards their car. One of the males was seen urinating on a wall before police arrived. When officers arrived, they found that the student was sleeping in the car after having had an argument and did not intend to drive.

Just the Facts

With the price of a barrel of crude oil surpassing $110 this week, all the way to $114 and still forecasted to rise, it seems fitting that the issue of oil should be my focus this week. Now there is a lot of finger pointing and shouting on this issue, as well as commercial propaganda from oil companies and their opponents that tout one side as being the solution while the other side is a problem or malicious in some fashion.

Twenty knot winds, freezing cold water spraying in your face, wearing special gear to prevent hypothermia, and admiring the whitecaps over the almost frozen river: you ask yourself, “Who in their right mind would enjoy this?” The answer to that question lies within a select group of students who devote many of their afternoons and weekends to the Bentley Sailing Club.

Bentley Takes 2 of 3 from #6 Franklin Pierce

Bentley Baseball had quite a Saturday this past weekend, where the Falcons were able to sweep Franklin Pierce, the sixth best Division II team in the country at their own field. Sunday proved to be less rewarding, as Bentley was three-hit back at DeFelice Field here on campus in a 5-2 loss to round out the series.

Editorial

At our technologically advanced university, laptops are everywhere. You see them at lunch, in the library, on the Greenspace, in class. But is there anything wrong with this? This past fall, the Vanguard published an editorial at the beginning of the semester stating that teachers should not forbid laptop use in class because it was our right and we pay for it in technology fees and computer costs.

Seniors express displeasure with Commencement Week housing

Many Bentley Seniors will be spending their last days at Bentley back where many of them began their college days, the Trees dorms. And a group of those Seniors are not at all pleased about reliving those early college days. What started as banter among groups of Seniors has ballooned into a small, somewhat organized movement anchored by a Facebook group aptly named “Bentley Seniors Against Moving to the Trees.

The Great Debaters

The Bentley Debate Society, together with the Bentley College Republicans and the Bentley College Democrats, held the “The Great Debate” Tuesday in Wilder Pavilion. Roughly fifty students attended, as well as several members of the Babson Republicans.
The Bentley Debate Society moderated the event, with the two political groups speaking on behalf of their respective Presidential candidates.
