Bentley sweeps Saint Anselm behind juniors Holman and Dolan

For the third straight season, Bentley made it a 9-0 sweep over Saint Anselm in Northeast-10 Conference men’s tennis action on Tuesday afternoon at the Bentley tennis courts. The Falcons improved to 6-8 overall and 6-2 in the conference with the win, while the Hawks remained winless at 0-10 overall and 0-9 in the NE-10.

Tour of Mail Services sheds light on recent issues

Amid a string of reports of missing mail, The Vanguard met with Kim LaFleur, the Operations Manager in Mail Services. LaFleur walked The Vanguard through the path mail takes from the Postal Service to student mailboxes .

Letters and cards arrive in small bins called “flats ,” with about 200 pieces of mail each.

Senior left fielder Briana Kneeland had four RBI and freshman second baseman Christine D’Amico slammed a three-run homer, helping Bentley to an 11-2 game two win over Merrimack College in the second half of a Northeast-10 Conference softball doubleheader Tuesday afternoon.

Leopold helps Bentley finish 5th in Babson spring opener

Grad student Bobby Leopold tied for third place overall to help the Bentley golf team finish fifth, amongst 11 teams, in the two-day Babson Spring Opener, which concluded Monday at the Atlantic Country Club.
Leopold, after an opening round 78 on a raw and damp Sunday, followed with a second-round 76 to finish at 154.

Thinking back to the days of elementary school it was a common occurrence to have a fire drill. Your teacher would have the class line up and file outside and then attendance would be taken to ensure that every kid was safe and out of the building. It was usually a time to look forward to because it meant that you got out of class for at least twenty minutes, but now as a college student it’s more of a hassle than anything else.

Vandalism
On Tuesday evening, Campus Police investigated a past vandalism incident in Orchard North. Officers reported that the fire extinguisher was missing, a chair in the lounge had been broken, and a hole had been punched in the wall. While the case had been closed initially, it had been reopened at the time of this writing .

Information Process Minor focuses on info system integration

For those who still have time to declare a minor, the Information Process Management minor will be added to the list of those available starting next fall. After administrators noticed the incredible expertise in business process management and information systems among faculty specializing in various fields of study, Bentley formed a new department for Information Process Management in July 2006.
