Three players won at both singles and doubles as Bentley rolled to an 8-1 win over American International on Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference men’s tennis action at the AIC Tennis Courts. The Falcons improved to 4-7 overall and 4-1 in conference play after the first NE-10 match of the spring. The Yellow Jackets dropped their season opener.
Junior Miles Holman was a 7-5, 6-3 winner at top-flight singles and teamed with sophomore Matt Sansoucie for an 8-2 win at second doubles. Sansoucie was also a 6-2, 6-2 winner at fourth singles. Sophomore Stephen Sparks also picked up a pair of wins with a straight sets win at third singles and an 8-3 victory at top-flight doubles alongside junior Michael Dolan.
Freshman Chris Schoder cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at fifth singles and classmate Ben Burkholz rounded out the singles lineup, winning in straight sets at the number six spot.
Sophomore Scott Rosen and freshman Brian Barnett formed the third doubles team and rolled to an 8-0 win.
Sophomore Max Collins picked up the only point of the day for American International, winning his second singles match.
The Falcons are in action again on Saturday, March 29, at 1 p.m., hosting Pace in the first home match of the spring to open a four-match home stand at the Bentley Tennis Courts.
