Falcons cruise to 8-1 victory over American International in first match back from Florida

Three players won at both singles and doubles as Bentley rolled to an 8-1 win over American International on Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference men’s tennis action at the AIC Tennis Courts. The Falcons improved to 4-7 overall and 4-1 in conference play after the first NE-10 match of the spring.

Steve Trocki scores four goals as Saint Anselm knocks off Bentley men 9-8

Senior Steve Trocki scored four goals as Saint Anselm held off a late Bentley charge for a 9-8 win on Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference men’s lacrosse action. The Hawks improved to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference, while the Falcons fell to 2-2 overall after their NE-10 opener.

Falcons beat Bulldogs 3-1 in eleventh inning on Cusumano’s pinch hit single

Freshman Jason Cusumano, in just his fourth career at bat, delivered a two-run pinch-hit single in the top of the 11th inning to break a 1-1 tie and lift Bentley to a 3-1 win over Bryant University in Northeast-10 Conference baseball Monday afternoon at Bulldog Field.

MLB payrolls increase, smart decisions do not

At the end of the baseball season last October, the Red Sox organization was filled with feelings of blissful exhilaration. The team had overcome drastic odds and brought home their second World Series championship in 4 years. The only questions that remained were, “What should the team do next?” and, “How much would it cost?”
For a team like the Red Sox, where a player’s earnings can equal the payroll of an entire ball club, efficient salary allocation is vital to success.

Inauguration Celebration kicks off with Day of Service

The three day celebration which will culminate in the official inauguration of President Gloria Larson started off on Wednesday with a Day of Service where students and staff alike met in the Back Bay rooms. Among the service events were a Bentley t-shirt drive for the Waltham area, the packaging of 1,000 educational packets for students in Waltham and developing countries.
