Sadowski named Northeast-10 volleyball player of the week

For the third time in her career, Bentley senior middle hitter Christina Sadowski has been named the Volleyball Player of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Sadowski was one of four Falcons who were recognized by the conference this week. Sophomore Cassie Kraft was chosen as the Libero of the Week for the third time in four weeks, and the Weekly Honor Roll included junior setter Tori Piskulick and sophomore outside hitter Alex Kearney .

Golf team’s fall season comes to a close

This week marks the end of a successful fall golf season for the Bentley team. Having already won the Northeast -10 Championship in late September, the team took on three tournaments in October.

Falcons take over second place in Northeast 10

October 25, 2007 Sports

When the Falcons left for Easton, Massachusetts last Saturday morning to take on the Stonehill Skyhawks the Falcons knew they would be in for a tough game. The Skyhawks were a complete turnaround from last year’s 1-10 team and were now second place in the NE-10 with a 4-2 conference record.

Editorial

October 25, 2007 Op-Ed

Bentley students who check their email regularly may have noticed the deluge of forwarded spam messages in their inboxes on Sunday, October 14th. This was not the work of some insidious spammer who somehow managed to get through our filters and firewalls. Those responsible were actually Bentley students, students who failed to observe basic rules of courtesy and committed clear violations of Bentley’s computer usage policies.

Vehicles Damaged

On Tuesday evening, a student parked on the lower level of the Miller parking garage called Campus Police to report that his car had been damaged while parked. There was red paint transfer on the rear bumper. A Bentley staff member had left a note on the windshield stating that she had witnessed a white BMW back into the victim’s car.

It appears that green is in this year and in case you didn’t know, I’m not talking about the color. Green is the new term replacing the previously clumsy, “Environmentally Friendly.” Being green is being thrown around by everyone in some of the most unexpected places.

SGD and CAB combine efforts for charity concert

Sigma Gamma Delta, in collaboration with Campus Activities Board, will be holding a charity concert on November 9th to raise money for HALO (Helping and Loving Orphans). The event, open to the entire Bentley community, represents two of the most well known organizations on campus coming together to raise money for a common cause.

Bentley students invloved in website launch

Bentley was officially the second school, directly after Harvard, to launch StudentBusinesses.com. This is an online organization which promotes student entrepreneurship. Bentley’s involvement is largely due to Bentley’s Entrepreneur Society (BES), a student- run club that encourages students to start-up their own businesses.
