Canzoneri notches three points as Falcons overpower Canisius, 5-2

Sophomore Anthony Canzoneri scored two goals for the second night in a row and added an assist for the Falcons to boost the Bentley hockey team to a 5-2 win over Canisius on Saturday night in Atlantic Hockey action at Ryan Skating Arena. The win completes a two-game sweep of the Golden Griffins and boosts Bentley to 7-5-1 (6-4 AHA), while Canisius falls to 3-11-1 (3-7-1 AHA).

Kirwan steals game from Bulldogs as Falcons win two straight at home

This week featured two Women’s Basketball division games; one on Saturday against the Assumption Greyhounds and Tuesday night’s game against the always-bitter rival, the Bryant Bulldogs.

Saturday’s game was a hard fought win against Assumption as Bentley won 62-50 with step up performances from all its players.

Interesting and controversial match-ups plague BCS yet again

The wait is over. The BCS has been decided, and on January 8th, Ohio State will take on Florida for the national title. The question is, of course, did they get it right? Every year the pundits from both sides come out and hoot and holler about whether or not the BCS has chosen the right teams to play for the national title.

Once in awhile on campus, you can overhear some student claiming to have heard a rumor that Bentley has decided to go to Division I competition in athletics. These rumors never end up being true, and probably never will. These students conveniently overlook the requirement for a large stadium for a Division I football team, as well as the incredible amount of money required to build an arena.

After two weeks of looking forward to being on duty, it finally arrived. I was excited because after two weeks of RA training, I felt well prepared. Also, there is no easier night than the first Wednesday of classes to be on duty-or so I thought. The night was going smoothly until 9:30 pm, which was when I was doing my second of three building inspections.

Tuesday, November 28 6:23 p.m.: A Bentley student reported to Campus Police that his car had been stolen. It should be noted that this was the same vehicle reported stolen last week, which was later found elsewhere on campus. After the vehicle had been reported stolen, Campus Police entered the vehicle’s description into NCIC, and asked neighboring towns and cities to watch for the car.

Men’s basketball seventh in nation after 8-0 start

The Falcons came into the first game of their two-game home stand on a roll. This was the first time since 1988 that the Falcons had started the season at 6-0. Their amazing start had vaulted them from being ranked 20th in Division II to eighth in just one week.

Bentley University? School ponders name change

Bentley University? The name change has support according to the survey results.

Over 2,500 responses were tallied regarding Bentley’s name change from a college to a university; 58.7% of the respondents favor or strongly favor the adoption of a university name for Bentley, with only 18.
