Senior guard Danny Lawson led a balanced attack with 12 points and the Falcon defense limited UMass-Lowell to 15 first half points as Bentley improved to 5-0 for the first time since 1988 with a 69-47 win in Northeast-10 Conference men’s basketball Sunday afternoon at Costello Gymnasium.

Bloomsburg denies Bentley in NCAA Div. II Championship

Sophomore Samantha Kropa scored the game’s only goal at 20:14 of the first half, propelling Bloomsburg University to a 1-0 win over Bentley and its fourth NCAA Division II field hockey national championship in five years. The victory Saturday afternoon at the Brosnahan Sports Complex completed a perfect 24-0 season for the Huskies.

RIT wins 5-1 decision Over Falcons, splits weekend series

Junior Simon Lambert tallied three points for the Tigers to help Rochester Institute of Technology to a 5-1 win over the Bentley hockey team on Saturday night in Atlantic Hockey action at Ritter Ice Arena. The Falcons have now split all four of their AHA series this season, falling to 5-5-1 (4-4 AHA), while the Tigers improve to 4-5-2 (4-2-1 AHA).

They were welcomed into the Garden of Eden, a paradise where they had no rules, save one: never eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. As we know, Adam and Eve were tempted by the devil, disguised as a serpent, and ate the fruit out of curiosity.

As we all know, Bentley’s campus upkeep is always impeccable. For students who have gone on tours at other colleges, it is generally somewhat surprising to see how clean the campus is kept, even on the weekends. In addition, we have seen major improvements on campus in the last year or so.

To the Bentley Vanguard:

I’d like to respond to last week’s editorial, which suggested the library purchase textbooks used in courses.

At first blush, this may seem like a great idea, and in fact it’s one that’s been suggested and explored. (It’s probably pretty obvious that so much of what we’ve done and continue to do at the library to make it as good as it is based on student suggestions, many of which we implement.

Thursday, November 16
11:19 p.m.: Campus Police was called to Forest Hall for a report of a male student who had cut his wrist on glass. They were met by a Bentley student with a towel wrapped around his bleeding wrist. Officers were able to ascertain that the student had punched the glass enclosure for a fire extinguisher.

“The Rock” comes to Bentley to film movie

Now that you have heard the rumors, here are the facts. Disney has come to Bentley for one day to film three scenes for their upcoming movie “The Game Plan”, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (Walking Tall, Gridiron Gang) and Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer). Most of the day Saturday, the set crew came down to make some adjustments to the Dana Center athletic facility.

Bono, Oprah, and Bentley try to save the world

From the outside, some might think that a college built on the principles of business might lack the activist aesthetic, but nothing could be farther from the truth. As evidenced by the recent creation of the Bentley College against Cancer organization and the Great American Smoke-out which just recently took place here on campus, social and political activism are not outside the realm of the Bentley student community.

Like everyone, I was amazed when OJ Simpson announced this week that he had written a book about how he would have killed his ex-wife and her friend. He’s not admitting guilt, just admitting that he’s thought about and considered how he would have killed the two of them.
