Bentley beats Stonehill in Homecoming game behind defensive dominance

Led by their veteran secondary, the Bentley Falcons defeated the Stonehill Skyhakws in a defensive struggle, in front of the homecoming crowd. The energized crowd saw the Falcons rely heavily on their defense, which came up big with 4 sacks and 4 interceptions forced.

Seniors honored, lead field hockey team to victory 4-1 on Homecoming

The Bentley Falcons rolled to a 4-1 victory Saturday, October 21, 2006 over division rival Southern Connecticut Owls.

All of the scoring for the Falcons was done by the seniors who came out fired up for one of their last games at Bentley College.

Bentley jumped out to an early 1-0 advantage when senior co-captain Lindsey Harrington assisted Kristen Dudley with the goal.

NBA preview: strong guards lead championship contenders

In the 1990′s the NBA was dominated by towering big men that struck fear into their opponents’ hearts. Names like Ewing, Mourning, Barkley, Malone, Duncan and Garnett were as recognizable as the days of the week.

Since then, the face of the NBA has shifted to a more up-tempo guard oriented style of play.

Editorial: The case for shuttle reform

Bentley Ambassadors, when working their admissions spiel on prospective students, can often be overheard saying that many students don’t really feel the need for cars, because they easily get around by just using the shuttle. But do they?

The reality is that the shuttles, organized by the Route 128 Business Council, are simply not sufficient in meeting the mobility needs of most students.

This year, 1,399,790 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in the United States. 33,310 will be found in Massachusetts alone. For most of us on campus, cancer is not an issue that is on the forefront of our minds, but that is not to say that cancer won’t affect us now or in the future.

8:37 p.m.: Officers responded to a trouble alarm on the third floor of Fenway. Because no one answered the door, Campus Police requested an RA accompany them as they entered the room which was filled with smoke. As officers investigated, they found cans of alcohol and a hot plate.

Bentley skydiving club makes jump in Pepperell

It’s nothing but blue skies for the Bentley Skydiving Club as they take a dive into the wide open sky for a ride like no other. If you haven’t skydived, you don’t know what you are missing.

“It feels like you are floating, you can really feel your smile,” said Matthew Jacobs, President of the Skydiving Club, about his first jump.

Students show their spirit for Homecoming

During Homecoming this last weekend something was brewing in the Miller lounge. Residents were showing their Bentley spirit in a very visible way by having their faces painted and competing in spirited contests. Close to forty students, five R.A.s and some children of alums participated in the activity that captured the attention of many people on campus.
