#1 Le Moyne remains unbeaten with 18-3 win over Bentley

The Le Moyne College men’s lacrosse team used a balanced scoring attack to rout Bentley, 18-3, in Northeast-10 men’s lacrosse action Saturday afternoon. With the win the top-ranked Dolphins improved to 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in the NE-10, while Bentley fell to 0-3 and 0-2.

Why is college basketball more popular?

Why does the NBA fail to capture the attention of basketball fans the way March Madness and college basketball can? The NBA promotes ALL-Star Weekend, the dunk-contest, and the playoffs in the spring, but why is there consistently more excitement for NCAA March Madness?

Many fans enjoy gambling with their NCAA brackets in hopes of winning money or gaining notoriety around the office.

Dear Editor,

A loyal, bright, and aptly qualified candidate for the Falcon Society was suddenly uninvited for induction into the organization because a College staff member accused the student of academic transgression without further inquiry. It is my belief that any educational institution which allows their elite organization to reverse nomination decisions after a thorough review process clearly is without values, ethics and morals.

Do you remember walking all over campus, taking the campus tour, and leaving Bentley with a positive impression of the campus’ appearance? If so, the beautiful landscape and atmosphere of the campus probably played a role in helping you decide that Bentley was where you wanted to spend your next four years.

Student Government Association sponsors a “Student of the Month” award, of which staff and faculty may nominate and vote on a student winner. The winner receives a $50 American Express gift card. Winners are chosen if they exemplify motivation, character, quality of participation, eagerness to learn, and team building skills.

Police Log

Protective Custody Just before midnight on Saturday night, Campus Police was called to Cedar. A male student had been punched in the mouth in the area of the Oak basement and felt that his lip may need stitches. The student’s roommate witnessed the incident, but did not know why he had been punched in the mouth.

World War II veteran visits Bentley classroom

It is difficult, studying as we do at a school wholly dedicated to business, to train ourselves to look beyond the numbers. We are taught to look at net profit, and not at the series of transactions that led to that final number. Likewise, we are taught to look at economy wide demand, but never to look at the attitudes and aspirations of each household that contributes to that demand figure.

Fundraiser helps students to reach $500K goal

The Bentley Exchange, the student telemarketing program that calls alumni and parents to raise money for the school, has raised $540,939 to date. This program consists of 35 Bentley students who reconnect these groups by describing their own experiences and involvement on campus as well as the development of the school’s academic programs, student organizations, and campus maintenance.
