Cavanaugh, Hyman & Johnson Named to All-NE-10 Academic Team for Volleyball

Bentley College senior co-captain Erin Cavanaugh and a pair of teammates were named to the 2004 Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic Volleyball Team, with the trio of Falcon starters comprising half of the six-player first team.

Cavanaugh was joined on the team by junior outside hitter Marissa Hyman and junior setter Kristin Johnson.

Football Places Arsenault, Griggs and Petersen on Academic All-Conference Team

Three members of the Bentley College football team – Mike Arsenault (Everett/Everett HS), Adam Griggs and Mark Petersen – have been named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic Team.

Griggs, a junior center who was an Academic All-District and second-team All-Northeast-10 selection a year ago, anchors the offensive line for the Falcons, who average 428.

Bentley Host for Northeast-10 Conference Field Hockey Championships

Bentley College (15-1 NE-10, 19-1 Overall) has received the top seed for the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Field Hockey Championship Tournament, presented by STX.

The Falcons have captured the Northeast-10 Regular Season Championship for the sixth time since the conference began the tournament in 1996 and its first since 2001 when they shared the title with Saint Michael’s College.

Bentley Lands Four on Northeast-10 All-Academic Soccer Teams

The Bentley College men’s and women’s soccer teams combined to land four players on the Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic Teams. Highlighting the honors are sophomores Ryan McCarthy and Julie Greg, who were both named as first team selections.

McCarthy, the only member of the men’s team to be honored, compiled a 3.

Faculty members of Bentley College have undertaken a study on religious diversity on campus.

With the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, the tragedy of September 11 and the crisis in the Roman Catholic Church, the study’s aim is to ensure that the Bentley community does not fall for any false notions regarding various religions.

Bentley Teams Up With TIME

This past week Bentley launched a new advertising campaign with TIME magazine, and the ads also mark the beginning of a multi-year partnership with the popular magazine.

The first Bentley ad is featured on pages 2 and 3 of the October 25 issue. It states that the type of leader that Bentley looks to create is “One who is not only proficient in business and information technology, but also committed to the highest ethical standards and prepared for global commerce in a culturally diverse arena.

During the celebrations on the Greenspace after game seven of the ALCS, school officials noticed a male who was aggressively pushing another student. Officers chased down the aggressor to no avail, but were able to identify all parties involved from a videotape of the celebration.
