Eddy, Mall Break NCAA Division II Records as Bentley Tops Assumption

Former high school teammates Marc Eddy and Dallas Mall both broke NCAA Division II career records, and Eddy became the sixth player in NCAA Division II history to reach the century mark in career touchdown passes, as Bentley College pulled away in the second half for a 32-8 win over Assumption College in Northeast-10 Conference football Saturday afternoon at Rocheleau Field.

OT Goal by Walker Gives Bentley 3-2 Win

Senior Jenn Walker scored with 1:09 remaining in the first overtime as fifth-ranked (Division II) Bentley College bested ninth-ranked Saint Michael’s College, 3-2, in Northeast-10 Conference field hockey action on Saturday at Doc Jacobs Field.

For the Falcons, senior Kayla Gogos and freshman Heather Buda also scored, while junior Kristin Johnson and freshman Meaghan Johnson combined for four saves.

Tough Road Ahead for the Sox this Postseason

Its been a long and difficult road for Sox fans since last October and the travesty that was the ALCS. Those days still stick in the back of our minds as some of the best, but mostly the worst times in sports over the last few years. But after it was all over, the Sox went to work and set the team up in the off season for what might have been the most anticipated season in Red Sox history.

We can all remember the campus wide celebration on the Greenspace when the Red Sox won a playoff series last year. Bentley students are more excited to see who wins the World Series then to see who is elected President. The shouting of excited students could be heard all over campus over a simple baseball game.

A two-car motor vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Beaver Street and College Drive Sunday afternoon. Officers arrived on the scene, and arrested a non-student after finding that he was operating under the influence. The individual was taken into custody and transported to Waltham Police Department for documentation.

Active Directory to Ease Use of Technology on Bentley Campus

This August, Bentley network users and computers switched over to Active Directory, which is a new domain structure with a centralized database. All Bentley users, computers, and printers will be included in the database.

The Active Directory ensures a more secure computing system throughout Bentley.

A New Logo For A New Bentley

As you may have noticed around campus, Bentley’s original seal has been replaced by a logo featuring the Solomon Baker Library’s clock tower.

The school’s Marketing department felt that that the school could be better represented by a new logo. The original seal, depicting a balancing scale, had been designed to represent Bentley in its early days as a small accounting school.
