Bentley Wins 11th Straight

Sophomore Brianne Tulley and freshman Kaitlyn Anelauskas were both double-winners as the Bentley College women’s swim team notched its 11th straight victory, 144-124 over visiting Bridgewater State College at the Dana Center pool Tuesday night.

Tulley posted winning performances in both the 100-yard breaststroke and the 500 freestyle.

Bentley Selected for NCAA D-II Football Playoffs

For the first time in the program’s history, Bentley College has been selected for the NCAA Division II football playoffs.

The Falcons, who completed a 10-0 regular season and clinched the Northeast-10 Conference championship Saturday with a 57-17 win over Stonehill College, were seeded second in the Northeast Region and will host defending national champion and third-seeded Grand Valley State this coming Saturday (Nov.

Campus Police Log

April 29, 2004 News

A student from Kresge Hall reported that a male student was hanging outside the window of the fourth floor of Forest Hall on Tuesday morning. Upon arrival, officers didn’t see anybody hanging out the window, but while patrolling the fourth floor, overheard somebody talking about hiding drug paraphernalia as the police were pulling up to the building.

Ten Students Inducted to Falcon Society

Ten new members were inducted this month into Bentley’s prestigious Falcon Society. The 10 inductees, chosen from 38 nominees, have now joined the six existing members of the society. The honored students and their families attended an induction ceremony at President Morone’s house on April 12.

New Falcon Statue On The Way

The Bentley Falcon, one of the most symbolic and treasured emblems on campus, was stolen in October of 2002. Now, due to the relentless efforts of the 2002-2003 Student Government Association (SGA), Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Activities Gary Kelley, and President of the Falcon Replacement Committee student Gina Antenucci, a new statue will be installed within the week.

Republicans: Tax Cuts

Much debate has surrounded President Bush’s tax cuts. The $1.35 trillion windfall was designed to provide necessary fiscal stimulus to an economy that was in need of liquidity in order to get out of recession faster. The thinking behind the policy is that the money earned by the most productive workforce in the world can be better managed when more of it is in their hands, as opposed to being shuffled around a massive, inefficient bureaucracy.
